Ah, my first Valentine's day with kids who actually give out valentines! How exciting! So I went on familyfun.com (a website must for families. And found these really cute valentines and had the glow sticks on hand. Always have LOTS of cardstock.
Philip helped cut out the hearts and Brent and I carefully glued on
the hearts and threaded the delicate glow sticks thru. I only say 'delicate' because I snapped 2 and made them glow. (oops)But they were a hit! And lots of fun! The party was really fun! They invited moms/dads to come. And they specially invited Michael who thought it was really neat. They made the kids lunch. And they made handprint butterflies which is now proudly displayed in the dining room, need to frame! And they had thier own Valentine's boxes and everyone brought valentines. They also made cards, which Philip handed to me and said,
'Here Happy I Love You Day'
I also made these heart shaped lollipops with white chocolate and milk chocolate for writing. They are super easy! All you have to do is dolip chocolate with a spoon and form a heart, then swirl the sticks and I cheat by freezing them to hard set. Then the little packaging! I thought they turned out really good! I have taken to making candies. It's lots of fun!
