The Watched Pot Never Boils

Well, Christmas has come and gone, we had a great one! Mom is here and cleaning like a mad woman! I've been in pain for about 3 days! But the hospital won't do anything until water breaks, contractions are closer together...yadda yadda yadda! But we have 3 days to go so not much longer. All of the baby clothes are clean and put away the crib is made up, we finally got a coming home outfit, the car seat is ready...my bag not packed suprise, suprise!! We didn't pack my bag till the night before I went into real labor on the way to the hospital with Philip. Very tired and cranky according to Brent! I just wish that men could have 30 minutes of this and then they would understand, not that it's not a blessing or wonderful but having a little person kick you in the bladder 50 zillion times a day to the point that you don't think that there could possibly any more pee left but, oh, wait....YES! and you have to go again! For the 3rd time in 15 minutes! I'm begining to wonder who the weaker sex really is! :0) But Philip just fell asleep and I should see what mom and Brent are up to...and shower...
P.S. We got the Van on Friday it's neat, Brent has been showing it off to everybody! I still haven't gotten to drive it yet!! Oh, well!

The Countdown Begins

Well we have 20 days till D-day! Mom will be here in 7, that's a relief. Going crazy trying to get all of Christmas sorted and mailed off. I have over 75% of the Christmas cards done all I have to do is mail them. That's the easy part. Have to talk Brent into bringing in the wrapping paper, he had made it impossible for me to navigate in the garage. But hopefully we will have it all sent off by the 9th! GOOD LUCK! This weekend I'm going to start pulling the baby clothes out and washing and putting away. That will take forever! But it will be fun to see all of the little tiny clothes again. Speaking of tiny, I don't think this kid is! He is going to be huge! Watch he'll be 6 pounds. We have had our only car in the shop all week and it looks like it will be there into next week...ARRRGH! But we went a bought a 2005 Honda Oddessy yesterday! Our first brand new car! And I have turned into a mini-van mom! ARRRGH! I swore I would NEVER do this but 2 kids and visitors and wanting more kids it makes sense. I was freaking out about how much it was! I have never spent that much in my life! And I never thought I'd ever buy a brand new car so it's exciting and scary at the same time. Well I could ramble on and on so I'll stop for now!

We have a delivery date!

Well went to the OB doc today and got scheduled for the C-section, the 29th of December. Not a bad date and Philip was born on the 9th so we have a 9 thing going on! And hopefully the same doc that delivered Philip can do it, he's the admin doc that day but I get to ask him. Getting more and more nervous about the whole surgery thing...Brent told me that I shouldn't be worried because I've done it before, but I didn't know that's how the delivery would turn out I expected to give birth, SOOO this time I'm walking in knowing what will happen. Am I nuts for being a little scared to have a major surgery???? But I guess I'm a glutton for punishment because I want 2 more after this!!!
Other than that all is well in the land of Poff, Philip turned 21 months today I can't belive that!!! He's so big, and does so much! Well I better go for now ~

Waiting....

Well I got thru the past 2 weeks with the contractions and such, Thursday I was seeing spots and called the OB L&D and as usual they told me to lay down and drink like I haven't drank a gallon of water already! Living an hour away from the hospital can be a chore. But it all went away and now we are resuming the beating from the inside! So happy and healthy. Wonder what this one will look like? Oh, sorry Michael. Philip looked so much like Brent when he was born and still does. So It's a waiting game. I really should be cleaning and organizing the house but eh! Brent's playing playstation and Philip's sleeping. Very sleepy day today! Well I guess I'll get off of this thing that wastes my time. Oh!! Too cool I made my first "real" pumpkin carving of Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes dressed up a a superhero for Philip!
